Sleeper leagues do not require rosters to be under the league limit prior to a trade or a draft completing. The user interface simply locks owner from making moves until they cut down players to meet the roster limit requirements. This makes a lot more cases possible and we saw trade activity triple with this change.

We call this behavior "lazy enforcement."

It's something not many platforms think about, but makes a huge difference league activity due to the flexibility afforded.
