In addition to adding and dropping players to/from waivers or free agency, you can also upgrade your team by trading players with an opponent.

This is often used as a way for both teams to try to improve their team. In order to do that, you'll have to come up with a fair offer for both sides.

Proposing a Trade

Trading is only allowed once your draft has been completed. You can tap on the "Team" tab at the top of your screen and then select "Propose Trade".

Next, you'll see an option to select which team(s) you would like to trade with. You can select one and then choose a specific player from their roster.

Once you have selected which players you want from their team, you'll have to select which players you want to give up.

After that, you can send the trade offer to the opposing team!

You can view or cancel your trade offer at any time by going to "My Team" and "Transactions". It will look something like this:

Accepting or Declining Trades

Once your trade has been offered, the other team(s) involved will get a notification. They can accept the trade or they decline it.

If you swipe right on your league you can view your transactions in the top right corner.

As you can see in the screenshot below, you can view your trades that have been sent and you can view your trade history:

Your trade history will show you any rejected or completed trades.

Finalizing a Trade

Once a trade has been proposed and accepted, Sleeper has a default 2-day waiting period. This allows your commissioner to review the trade, and they can give the final approval or they can veto it.

The trade review period gives the commissioner and the rest of the league time to look over it to ensure that it is a fair deal for both sides. Polls are a good way to show any league discontent with the trade and we encourage your league to discuss it in the league chat.

The commissioner has the ability to process the trade instantly, or they can let the 2-days pass and then let it go through.

The trade review time is an option that can be configured in the league settings by the commissioner. It can be set to 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, or none.
